In July of this year, in England, UK, a total public-place smoking ban will come into force. No longer will it be permissible to smoke in bars and eating establishments.

For all non-smokers, this change in legislation can not come a moment too soon. The thought of sitting in a
restaurant having a lovely, well deserved (and sometimes costly) meal with friends or family spoilt by the pervading smoke from a careless smoker, fills most non-smokers with dread and anger.
